Fire Post is instated at Chandni Chowk for quicker response
A prominent commercial of New Delhi, Chandni Chowk which is a very congested area DFS has set up a permanent post to ensure quicker response in the wake of fire incident.
Since the market hub is in close proximity, fires witnessed often spread very fast.
LG V K Saxena earlier had asked fire department to spot 50 congested areas and deploy fire tenders for quicker response.
DFS Director, Mr. Atul Garg said no better occasion than Diwali to take first step.
Fifteen staffers will be deployed in two shifts and will work round the clock. Fire tender deployment will cut response time and also will boost confidence in locals as well.
